During term times we offer leisure courses. They run Thursdays from 7 - 9:30pm or Fridays 9.30am -12pm.

CUSHION COURSE

Making a cushion is a fabulous way to start your sewing journey! On this 4 session course, you will learn how to make a complete cushion cover from start to finish.

  • From making a template of your cushion,

  • to cutting out your fabric and sewing it together, to adding your trim!  

You will leave this course with not only some beautiful cushions, but the skill and confidence to make a cushion out of any fabric that takes your fancy!

Upholstering Drop-in Seat Course

Upholstering a drop in dining seat is a marvellous way to up cycle, revamp and give your home the personal touch and style you’ve always wanted without having to break the bank on new furniture.

On this 4 session course, you will learn how to give a new lease of life to your dinning room chairs.

  • From stripping your existing chair

  • to cleaning and painting the frame

  • to rebuilding your seat and picking your favourite fabric!  

You will leave this course with the skill and confidence to revamp any drop-in chair, in any fabric you choose and another old piece of furniture gets a new lease of life!

Upholstery Course

In a world of consumerism, waste and ever changing fashion, fight back by joining our crafty revolution by upcycling, reusing and revamping your way into a new way of life.

On this ongoing course, you will learn how to transform existing pieces of furniture into fresh, stylish interior decor.

  • From stripping your existing piece

  • to assessing problem areas and mending them

  • measuring and choosing your favourite fabric

  • to feeling the magic that happens when you transform a tired old piece into a designer master piece!  

You will leave this course with the skill and confidence to revamp all those special pieces, in any fabric you choose and another old piece of furniture gets a new lease of life!
